We are glad that you decided to join in our effort to provide a more meaningful and well rounded career education for our high school students!
Our Purpose:
The purpose of the Job Shadow Initiative is tri-fold:
1. Provide students with real world vocational experiences,
2. Provide local employers the oppurtunity to participate in the education of their future workforce and
3. Promote positive student/community relationships.
Our Goals: School Year 2009-2010
1. Develop a list of local employers willing to participate in Job Shadow - Accomplished
2. Develop paperwork and coursework to support studen career development - Accomplished
3. Place 200 9th grade students in one full day of Job Shadow for the year - Accomplished
4. Develop Occupational Advisory Committees to guide our decision making - Tabled
School Year 2010-2011
1. Expand list of local employers willing to participate in Job Shadow - Accomplished
2. Extend program to include 9th and 10th graders - Tabled
School Year 2011-2012
1. Develop Occupational Advisory Committees to guide our decision making

4. Integrate Job Shadow and Career Cuising initiatives
